Directions to Camp Jackson

  • Best Route

Camp Jackson Refuge is located approximately 30 minutes north of Blanding, Utah, in the beautiful Abajo Mountains.

For the best route, guests should approach from Blanding. Some navigation apps may suggest alternate mountain routes that are slower, narrower, or less suitable for passenger vehicles. We do not recommend using shortcuts suggested by navigation apps. Instead, follow the route through Blanding and continue north on Abajo Mountain Road (also known as County Road 285 or Johnson Creek Road).

This route provides the most reliable access to Camp Jackson Refuge and is suitable for most passenger vehicles during the operating season.
